Comment: Worked out really well as our grand daughter is at Falmouth Uni (Penryn) and we were able to have some lovely time with her. The weather could have been kinder to us but enjoyed ourselves. Thank you.
The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does on the pictures. The neighbourhood is very conveniently located and although it’s a lively neighborhood the apartment is very quiet! Would absolutely recommend to stay there!

When we first arrived we noticed how well the cottage had been refurbished and also loved the welcome pack including wine, scones and fresh flowers. Our favourite part of the cottage had to be the bathroom with its waterfall shower and relaxing decor. Although we had our own car, Alex is very helpful with car hire if you need any. Overall we had a fabulous stay at Sorgente and have already discussed returning again in the future. Would highly recommend.

The house is beautifully decorated with a cute courtyard. There's a lovely near on the Marina a short walk away. Alexs communication was great I'd highly recommend this house.

The cottage is extremely clean and well equipped. A lot of thought has clearly gone in to making this a home away from home. The neighbourhood is quite, but also very handy for transport links, both by road and rail. The town of Penryn is only a few minutes walk away. We enjoyed a great holiday with Sorgente as our base. Most definitely highly recommended. Thank you.

It was comfortable for our family - (2 kids 8 & 12.) The bathroom is lovely and spacious and the kitchen was pretty well equipped for the size. Really pleased as it was allergy free which is not always that easy to come across.

The cottage is delightful in every way: comfortable and modern, functional and welcoming, clean and cosy. It was exactly what we wanted in a wonderful area of Cornwall that we were able to explore despite the weather. All rooms are comfortably furnished with modern amenities! Pennryn is a nice village with everything needed nearby and in the heart of Cornwall. Our tipp: Have a relaxed day at the St. Ives Bay beach near Hayle (search for Blue Bay Cafe)! Matthias and family.

Das kleine Häuschen ist ein guter Ausgangpunkt um Cornwall zu erkunden. Etwas unscheinbar in einer Seitenstraße gelegen, bietet die Unterkunft alles was es braucht für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt für eine kleine Familie mit bis zu zwei Kindern. Es hat uns hier wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Der Vermieter hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben die Nutzung der Einrichtung mit kleinen Hinweisschildern und Anleitungen zu versehen. Die Treppe in die erste Etwage ist etwas steil, aber beidseitig durch Schutzgitter abgesichert. Insgesamt ist das Haus relativ modern und hell eingerichtet.
Obwohl die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter ausschliesslich über SMS lief, war sie sehr herzlich und hilfreich. Besonders gut haben uns die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten gefallen, die man nicht unbedingt erwarten kann. So stand ein frischer Blumenstrauss auf dem Tisch und eine "Überlebensration" Spaghetti im Schrank. Alles in Allem haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder hier her kommen.

Nice place well situated. Clean, tidy and well equipped.
Plenty of room.
Well place to walk into Penryn and about 45 minutes walk from Falmouth.
Parking was restricted but we parked directly outside the property and left the car there apart from one day when we went to the Eden project about 50 minutes drive away.
The road outside is busy and some drives seem to consider it a race track so be careful when crossing the road.
Limited pavements going up the hill so again take care if walking.
Nice log fire which was lovely when we used it for the night.
As other users have noted, a standard lamp next to the sofa for reading would benefit as it's either very bright or dim in the lounge area.
Good cooking facilities and suitably sized fridge.
The bathroom looks nice but the rain shower does tend to leave sprayed water all over the bathroom floor as there's no shower guard or curtain.
Bed is fine with plenty of storage space.
All in all a pleasant stay.

This is a very well cared for property; everything is in perfect condition - it's like staying in a show home.
The waxy wooden floors feel wonderful beneath your feet, the rain shower is lovely and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the living room is warm and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay and felt at home. Thank you Alex!

My wife, baby and I found the property whilst looking for a family holiday in Cornwall to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
We were automatically drawn to it by the immaculate pictures and fantastic location! When we arrived we were not let down!
We had a long drive down through rain and wind (with a 17 month year old in tow it is not easy!) but as soon as we opened the door it felt like home.
Penryn is the perfect location for exploring the beautiful Cornish countryside. Everyday after breakfast we packed the car and headed out to explore! We were even lucky enough to have sunshine the whole week. We went from Falmouth to Penzance to St Ives and so much more! All these trips were a maximum 30-40mins drive away! Our favorite place to visit was the stunning Kynance Cove... a must visit if you can!
We only had to contact the housekeeper Andrena once and she answered the call quickly and fixed our problems straight away.
I could not recommend staying at Sorgente enough, not just for the quality of the house but also for the perfect location in Cornwall!
We will be returning very soon!

My sister and I needed somewhere in Penryn to stay for a week whilst sorting out family matters. So, we had not come for sea, sun and sand, but more looking for a comfortable refuge to retreat to at the end of the day. Sorgente couldn't have been better at providing this; in spadefuls.
It is the most delightful and tastefully renovated cottage. It retains old world charm with modern day comforts.
The cottage was well equipped and everything, including all the linens and towels, were of a very high standard. Both bedrooms are spacious and we had plenty of room to hang clothes, with plenty of drawer spaces too.
It also has a superb bathroom with all modern/new fittings. The vast overhead shower was divine. Also all the little goodies which included soaps and bath gels.
Of an evening it was very cosy. We didn't light the wood burner, but can imagine that would be great on a really dismal wet and windy day. We only used the CD player, but you could bring your iPod, DVDs as well and of course there is a TV. The free WiFi was a real bonus and made it very easy for us to carry out research and find local services.
The communications and ease of booking and all the information provided by the owner was also top notch. The online description of the cottage is perfectly correct and the photography is truly representative of the accommodation.
As we were not on a holiday we didn't visit local attractions - but of course one absolute must, if you enjoy good food, is a visit to Ricky Stein's restaurant and take away near the Maritime Museum in Falmouth. The most sumptious dinner was greatly enjoyed and appreciated.
We can highly recommend this cottage.

We stayed 1 week at the beginning of November at the Sorgente Cottage. We enjoyed every single minute of our stay. Everything in the house is arranged to make the guests` stay as comfortable as possible. The cottage is very clean and when we arrived, fresh flowers, scones and clotted cream were waiting for us. A large folder with all the instructions explains how everything works. The location is close to Falmouth and close to a range of supermarkets (by car). We had a very enjoyable time at this wonderful place. All communication with the owners was excellent.

Nous avons passé une semaine en juillet dans ce cottage que nous avons apprécié. Il est très bien équipé (il y a une machine à laver) et très propre, très bien aménagé. Au rez de chaussée un espace à vivre très confortable avec une cuisine très bien équipée, une salon avec deux canapés, la TV et le wifi. A l'étage deux chambres et une salle de bain super. Le cottage est très calme et paisible. Il y aune petite cour extérieure. Il faut y venir en voiture pour profiter de la région. A Penryn il y a à proximité pour les courses un Lidl. A quelques minutes en voiture Falmouth.

It was our first holiday together as friends and we absolutely loved it so much that we are all saving up ready to book again for next year! The house is beautiful and that bathroom is to die for! All very clean and labels everywhere to help with all the appliances. It is situated on a hill so parking was tricky but nothing extreme. Lots of beautiful beaches; very close as well! And a Londis right at the bottom of the street in case of any emergency things we needed. The only "negative" thing I can say is that the stairs in the holiday home were very difficult and somewhat dangerous to go down on but other than that it is near perfect. I was also under the impression that the house keeper was going to meet us before we arrived but none the less I'm sure that if we did have any problems she would be there for us. Very much enjoyed out stay, wanted to stay longer! We would all like to say a big thank you and we will most definitely be coming again.
UPDATE: the stairs were reversed in 2016. They are no longer steep.

Like many little places in Cornwall, you just never know what lies beyond the front door. Had a wonderful stay at this cottage. It's so convenient for getting around. Very warm and cosy. Loads of nice towels. Comfortable beds. Beautiful bathroom. VERY clean. Logs were supplied, on request for the great little woodburner. The bottle of wine was a nice extra! I would highly recommend this accommodation to fellow travellers. Many thanks.

Das Haus war für 11 Tage unser "zu Hause" es fehlte an nichts. Alles war geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet. Nur das Bett war für meinen Mann zu kurz. Da es kein Fusstteil hat konnten wir es einfach auspolstern... Der Standort des Hauses ist optimal für Touren in ganz Cornwall. Vielen Dank für unser "Honeymoon".
