PORTHLEVEN 13.7 miles/26 mins. (Bus, Car, Cycle)

Porthleven is an historic and picturesque fishing harbour overlooking Mounts Bay, West Cornwall. Ideally located between Lands End and Lizard Point, a beautiful place to visit on your holiday in Cornwall.
Porthleven beach is unspoilt and uncommercialised, helping to make Porthleven ideal for a relaxing family holiday. The beach is separated from Porthleven harbour and all its facilities by a magnificent granite pier which was constructed two hundred years ago. The South West Coast Path runs through Porthleven.
Near Porthleven is the Penrose Estate owned by the National Trust. The natural grandure of the Loe Bar sandbank , which forms the large freshwater lake behind, is within walking distance. You can also walk along the coast path to the mines at Trewavas Head.

Sorgente comments 2018

"Enjoyed a lovely week holiday at Sorgente. Very comfortable and convenient location. Nice meal at Working Boat and pleasant walk to Flushing and Mylor around the headland. Thank you for our Welcome Pack!."

Sorgente comments 2017

"A most enjoyable stay at Sorgente, definitely something a bit different! A lot of thought has gone into the design layout of the cottage and it's environmental imprint. The information graphics were very helpful and easy to understand. The fresh cut flowers were very welcoming, a big thank you to Alex and family."

Sorgente comments 2016

"Sorgente is a lovely little house and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We explored a lot of Cornwall from here and found it a great base. Thank you for the lovely Cream Tea greeting us and the red wine - both very welcome on our first day and evening!"
