Thank you for a wonderful stay here at Sorgente. We've really enjoyed our winter break in Cornwall and this has been the perfect base for exploring - most importantly it was warm, cosy, comfortable and well-equipped and a joy to come back to every afternoon. I'm sure subsequent visitors will add more about what to visit in the area but we enjoyed Cadgwith (crab sandwiches from a local boat), Alba restaurant in St.Ives, the 3 Mackerel in Swanpool and the Maritime Museum in Falmouth. Our New Years' resolution is to come back again and we look forward to all the lovely touches that we've enjoyed at Sorgente and seeing more of this end of Cornwall! Nadine, Domonique and Pascale (8 months).

It has been a delight to stay in such a carefully thought-out holiday property. Everything to hand and so clean and light. Very relaxing – particularly the stars through the bathroom skylight. We've emailed friends and relatives to let them know of Sorgente. You have brought a little of the Meditteranean atmosphere and light. We would like to come again. Your agents and caretaker could not have been more helpful and welcoming! Carol and Lucas.

Sorgente è una bella casa e la regione è anche moltissimo bello! E' buona dèsere vicino l'università ma anche la spiagia perchè amo guardare l'onde. A lovely cottage with thoughtful touches throughout. Great bathroom once we'd mastered the controls! Val, Charlie and Elie.

A beautiful cottage. So very comfortable - a home away from home but nicer! A week definitely wasn't long enough. The highchair and stairgates especially useful for us, but not advertised on the website. Worth mentioning as you'll get more families. Sarah and Dan Parkman.

To be translated from German.

The Breen Family Holiday. We have had a fantastic holiday. The cottage is really really special. Thank you for choosing to make it into a holiday home for everyone to enjoy. It's beautiful. My 8 yr old boy has never been so clean, he loves the rain shower! Weather has been fab, so we've spent many days on the beach. For all those nautical loves, the Maritime Museum is brilliant. We love Cornwall, we love this cottage. We will definately be recommending it to our family and friends. Thank you very much. Sara, Dan, Ellis and Louie from Manchester. P.s. Mariners in Penryn is the best chippy ever!!

The Breen Family Holiday. Louie age 3 and Ellis age 8.

Thank you so much for the use of your beautiful cottage. We have had a great week with wonderful weather. We have been able to unwind and relax, it has been lovely. Diana and Tony.

We loved this place - thanks. Especially appreciated the extra touches such as the rain shower! Jessie.

We had a lovely holiday, cottage was great, loved the little touches. We recommend “Fifteen”; at Watergate Bay and Gilly Beach Restaurant. The folder was really useful to work the appliances, but some top tips for the local area would be fantastic alongside some practical info like where to put the rubbish/recycling etc. We worked out that its collected on Wednesday but nothing about recycling. A fun time had by all, especially Fi (16 months) who enjoyed looking at the attractions in the Maritime Museum. A lovely cafe and great view for a rainy lunchtime. Great value for money! Thanks again, Neil, Han & Fi and Nanny & Gramp.

Beautiful cottage, lovely holiday despite all the weather and illness could throw at us, just goes to show how nice this cottage is. Russell & Miranda.

P.S. Lovely shop down the road for any ladies who like shopping for nic nacs for the house. I could have spent hours in there!

We have loved staying at your cozy cottage, the bathroom is lovely and kitchen well equipped. We had three lovely days of sunshine and our favourite beaches were Gyllyngvase (sand) and Swanpool (stones but lovely). Spent a brilliant morning at Ships and Castles pool, the boys (7 & 8 yrs) loved the slide and wave machine. So desperate for somewhere for boys to play when pouring with rain and found " Raze the Roof " a fabulous indoor play area, the kids chose this as their favourite place of our whole holiday! Thanks so much. Jo, Justin, Callum and Zach.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was within a few miles of the beautiful coastline for us to explore the sandy beaches, and the idyllic gardens of Glendurgan and Trelissick. The accommodation was comfortable, cosy and bright and Eleanor loved the deep bath and rain shower. Just needed to master the controls ! Many thanks. Nigel, Helen and Eleanor.

Drawing by Eleanor.

A lovely cottage and a week of good weather what more can you want? I've appreciated all the facilities provided and the fresh and cosy feel. It's been a delight to enjoy. Thank you. P.S. Good evening meal to be had at Olivers in Falmouth (probably open lunchtime too). Park and Ride into St.Ives worth doing.

Had a lovely first holiday with our 18 month old son. Gyllyngvase beach and cafe. Maenporth - best beach. There's a Sainsburys on a round-a-bout on the way into to Falmouth for those needing a supermarket. The museum was brilliant for a rainy day and Harbour View in Falmouth do awesome burgers! Thanks for having us! Suzi, Phil and Nathan. P.S. Careful on those stairs!.

Wonderful holiday in a beautiful cottage. The coastal walk to Flushing is interesting - look out for the swing in the woods. Went on many walks, however the most beautiful walk was around Kynance Cove - wonderful caves. Thank you. Katie, Vanessa, Helen. P.S. The slippers were a lovely touch. 19th to 26th November 2010.

A very relaxing New Year's break for our 2 year old and ourselves. Visiting for a very special friend's wedding but also managed to explore the delights of St Ives, Lands End, Sennen Cove, Port Isaac, and Falmouth itself. Gorgeous take-away fish from Rick Steins on Falmouth Harbour. A very well equipped cottage for a young family and the 'welcome' bottle of red wine and box of mince pies were a real treat. We really appreciated your flexibility on our stay dates too, thank you! Happy New Year! Nick, Rose and Emilia Riley (Derby).

Three night break 26th to 29th December 2011. Perfect cottage for our family of four! Nice and warm, good facilities and the best shower I've ever had! Good location and would definitely consider returning! Many thanks Tom and family.

A beautiful cottage and an excellent base for exploring. We had never been to this part of Cornwall before and it was a revelation. The boys loved the Seal Sanctuary and the wild seals at Godrevy. We had a great meal at The Cove and an even better one at the Royal Standard in Flushing - great gastropub about 10 minutes away. Sad to leave.

A beautiful, warm, and welcoming cottage with a continental feel. We had a lovely stay here and it is the perfect base from which to explore West Cornwall. Would really recommend Trebah Gardens as they are breathtaking! We will definitely recommend this cottage to others. Kate and Soph Kirk.

We had a lovely relaxing week here at Sorgente thanks chiefly to the lovely home and welcome. The scones were such a favorite my husband stockpiled from Rowe's bakery in Penryn, we will be eating them when we get back to London. The cottage is charming and does feel like home away from home. Everything we needed was here and our son who isn't walking yet, enjoyed crawling everywhere, under the table being a favourite hiding place. Cornwall was lovely, the weather picked up the last few days. St Mawes was a favourite destination for us all and Trevarno Estate gardens. Favourite place to eat turned out to be the Mariners chippie, they knew our orders by the end of the week. We did have problems with the taps, they seemed to have a mind of their own, eventually we worked it out. Thanks for a lovely stay, Linda Ellia and Daniel Mensah.

Thank you for a lovely stay! We found the cottage very tasteful and well equipped and in a good location. The welcome tray was a lovely thought. We thoroughly enjoyed the cream tea. Recommendations: Kynance Cove, Pendennis Castle, St.Ives and huge beach to the east, St Agnes - very pretty with small cove and Porthleven. Favourite place to eat was Miss Pedpods in Penryn - great breakfasts and a happy hour hour on Fridays (6-7pm). Mariners (Penryn) and Harbour Lights for fish & chips. had a great stay! The Jennings Family.

Thank you for the wonderful accommodation, very well equipped place. We have enjoyed our week stay! Thank you for the welcoming tray, we really enjoyed it! Many thanks Sarah, Daniel and Amelia Metherell.

We have had a super week's holiday - but a holiday is not only visiting, walking, discovering it's also having a lovely, comfortable and well equipped place to come back to at the end of each day and where we have felt totally relaxed. Many thanks. Petra and Pascal Narcy and Mark Thornhill. P.S. Many thanks also for the welcoming touches - we really appreciated it.

We had a lovely time here at Sorgente. The house was great for the four of us and was a brilliant base for exploring Cornwall. Couldn't fit it all into one week though! Our recommendations for a day out at St.Michael's Mount, Trelissick Gardens (National Trust or historic Scotland memberships came in handy!), the beaches at Gyllyngvase and St.Mawes. Our girls (aged 6 and 3) also enjoyed the train to St.Ives and the Park and Float into Falmouth. Thanks! Jennifer, Ross, Amy and Heather. We had a great holiday, thank you! Amy (6) and Heather (3).

This is our second time staying in this beautiful cottage. It was just as perfect as last year. We have had a fantastic holiday, the weather has been kind to us. Thank you for the cream tea and wine - yum! We will be sad to leave this peaceful sanctuary - we feel so relaxed now - not sure how long that will last when we reach the mayhem of Manchester! Thanks once again for allowing us to stay here. Sara, Dan, Ellis and Louie - Manchester. P.s. for the little ones (or big ones) that love trains - good places to visit: Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway and model railway train museum, Mevagissey.
18/05/2011Such a nice house made our holiday even more special! It has everything you might need. Cornwall is beautiful and Fowey is a must! Thanks!

We have really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage is very well equipped, we wanted for nothing. Also thanks for the welcome cream tea and wine! The cornish coast is beautiful with many wild flowers everywhere - we were walking from Porthleven to Porthluney Bay so this made a good base for us. The weather was perfect - like summer. Thanks again. Cathy Pat, Joyce and Juliet. N.Yorkshire/Manchester/Weymouth.

We've had a really lovely week, been very lucky with the weather and have thoroughly enjoyed staying at Sorgente. Its a really lovely cottage, so tastefully decorated and well equipped. Loads to do in the area, we've had a great time and don't want to go home! Jo, Henry and Holly O'Connor. April 2011.

Beautiful holiday home - Thank you! Very modern and clean. Loved all the personal touches - made us feel welcome. Also loved the upstairs bathroom taps... Thank you. Karina and Mark Barnicoat. March 2011.

A lovely holiday in a cosy and hospitable cottage, a relaxing week in a beautiful part of the country, we hope to return. Suzanne, Mathew, Olivia and Maddy.

I really liked the rain shower! It was like standing in the rain. I normally hate the shower! By Libby Age 10. The cottage is lovely, and I would like to stay here again! I also liked the slippers!

A nostalgic trip down memory lane for my partner - who came regularly to Falmouth as a child. A first for myself and our daughter - and we would love to come again (I'm sure we will). St Mawes for cream tea; Pendennis Castle and Point - amazing views, a coastal walk along from Maenporth - beautiful. We managed to get a lot in from this excellent location. The cottage suited us down to the ground and we felt very at home here. The welcome tray was lovely to arrive to and our first cream tea of many during our stay. I will miss them greatly. Our little girl - Chloe - seems to have felt very happy here too - and loved the enormous bath. Many thanks and hope the next visitors have as good a time as we have. The Hairsines.

Our first visit to Cornwall for a long time and a great cottage for a fantastic part of Cornwall. Highly recommend Mylor Boat Hire and going to Pandora Inn by boat, and swimming in the creek around there, was a great day out. Highly recommend Swanpool beach over Gylly or Maenporth, lovely cafe, water sports, easy, cheap all day parking. Now we've been here, I just wish we booked for a fortnight! Many thanks, The Egans.

We had a very nice time here and we enjoyed staying at your nice little house. Everything was really clean and at it's place! Thanks for the scones and the flowers! All the best from Walter, Lili and Andrea from Germany.

We had a lovely week even if it was raining nearly all the time! :-) We spontaneously decided about our daily plans according to the current weather conditions. We managed to visit Glendurgan and Trebah gardens (can recommend it) and also Eden Project. Some nice little villages have been on our tours as well. Thanks and all the best, Britta and Claudia (Germany).

A great little cottage with everything you could need and nicely decorated. We are grateful for recommendations left by the others. Places we recommend are Ferryboat Inn (Helford Passage), Towan beach near St Mawes, St Ives for beaches, shops and the Tate. Also for a local trip Mylor harbour and the Pandora Inn at Mylor Bridge are worth visiting. We also took a day trip to beautiful Scilly Isles but beware it is a 6 hour round trip by boat from Penzance so may be worth taking helicopter if the budget will stretch to it. Miss Peapods is as good as everyone says - a real find. Thanks Jon and Laura (Bristol) P.s. Thanks for cream tea and wine.

We've had a very special last-minute holiday at Sorgente, and struck lucky with this lovely cottage, and a week of great weather. Very thoughtfully equipped with generous touches - thanks for the cream tea on arrival, fresh flowers and wine. It was also a great cottage for our 17 month old with stair gates and highchair coming in very handy. The cottage inspired her to start walking properly for the first time, and she hasn't stopped since! Particularly enjoyed: Helford Passage - lovely little quiet cove and beach, watched the ferry coming to and fro, had brilliant lunch at the Ferryboat Inn, delicious sea-food. We walked down to Helford from Glendurgan Gardens, which were beautiful, huge steep valleys of tropical plants, excellent maze, a lovely pace to explore. Also our trip over to Roseland Penninsula via the King Harry ferry - beautiful drive to St Mawes harbour, visited the castle there and enjoyed fabulous view, great walk along cliff top to coved beaches from St Anthony Head, lighthouse over at Place. Eden Project we visited 7 years ago, just as great this time and our toddler loved it too. Another wonderful day in ST Ives, visiting the Tate, Barbara Hepworth Garden, amazing golden beach with turquoise water. This area is so beautiful and has lots to offer, but also very well placed for these trips further afield - about 45 minutes to St Ives and Eden. Thanks again, Helen, Colin and Lucy Welch (Shoreham, Sussex). P.s. Also lovely meal at Miss Peapods Cafe overlooking estuary 5 minutes down the road.

Thank you for the wonderful accommodation, very well equipped place. We have enjoyed our week stay! Thank you for the welcoming tray, we really enjoyed it! Many thanks Sarah, Daniel and Amelia Metherell.

This is our second visit to the cottage and it was as we remembered it - a place to relax and unwind. We have really enjoyed our week here and managed to dodge the showers. Thank you very much for the use of your cottage. Diana and Tony.

We've had a lovely stay at Sorgente. The wine and scones were a lovely touch and went down a treat. The location is good for getting around and we visited many place during the week. I would recommend the Bissoe Cycle path to anyone, we had a great day out and it was suitable for the children for the children. Thank you Liz, Graham, Alex and Daniel Jones (Wirral). P.s. Pandora Inn in Mylor is a must, great food and great location.

Really enjoyed our stay at Sorgente. The cottage is beautifully finished - especially love the rain shower. It was very nice to be welcomed with scones, cream, jam and a very nice bottle of red! The week truly felt like we'd picked up our house and moved it to the coast - everything you needed was there including the washing machine and hair dryer! Wouldn't think twice about coming back! Thank you so much. Richard, Lorraine, Thomas and William.

Another lovely stay at Sorgente (our third) it is a great base for us when visiting our daughter at Tremough Campus. Our routine includes cocktails at Number 20, dinner at Wheelhouse and breakfast at Miss Peapods. New for us this week was the Barbara Hepworth museum at St Ives - fantastic! Many thanks Matthew and Suzanne.

We have had a lovely time here. We've enjoyed: a circular walk around Mawnan Smith and the river, ending at Glendurgan Gardens - outside cafe a bit chilly despite blankets so we had lunch at Trebah instead. Woodland walk around Trelissick - although sadly, the ferry from Falmouth wasn't operating in February. The seal sanctuary at Gweek - penguins too! Pendennis castle - short walk from Falmouth Docks station - then short walk to Gyllyngvase beach and cafe, train back from Falmouth town. Fantastic walk starting at Carwinian Gardens, out to Rosemullion Head, Tollpoint and back up the Carminian valley. Owner is happy for car to be parked at gardens if you're visiting them after a walk. Several beaches for stone skimming towards end of walk! Raze the Roof followed by Maritime Museum! Seth, Michelle, Nathan and Millie - Bristol.

Thank you, we had a warm, comfortable stay here in Sorgente, which is a lovely well-thought out, well-equipped and contemporary home. Sorgente has suited us all very well - a fantastic, tranquil and relaxing environment. So wish we were all staying longer. With best wishes, Sonia, Mike and Sofia.

La Sorgente e' molto carino e noi siamo stati molto bene. We hope to return very soon also because our children and grand children, Penelope, Martino, Nicole and Sara are here in Penryn. Grazie per il benvenuto, a presto. Donate

Thank you. We've had a most enjoyable and comfortable stay. The cottage is very well equipped and is cosy and warm. We love Falmouth and the surrounding area - explored some more on this visit and will be down again as soon as we can! Many thanks for a great stay. Best wishes Karl, Louise, Emily and Georgie.

Have been able to relax here in comfort after busy days visiting our two year old grandson! Thank you for all your help. Viv and Rick Gaskell

Thank you, we have had a thoroughly relaxing holiday. Sorgente is a beautiful little cottage finished to a very high standard, making our trip even more enjoyable. The local area seems to be very friendly and this is an ideal location for exploring. We highly recommend Pandora Inn, lovely location and food, St Austell brewery tour, Fowey, Lands End, St.Ives, Padstow, Polperro, Mevagissey, the list goes on. Thank you for the welcome tray. Hopefully see you again. Sam and Nick (Norfolk).

Thanks for the lovely neat cottage. We had a great time and the weather was kind t o us. Love the bathroom! If anyone likes seafood, the Sea Food Bar in Falmouth was lovely and we also liked the Deli. Thanks. The Maud family.

A lovely cottage and a good base for exploring the whole area. Thank you. Edd, Ella and girls (Herefordshire).

We had such a nice stay at Sorgente Cottage! We were very lucky with the weather and could explore the rest of Cornwall. Really loved the wee herb garde! We left some mint here as an addition to the garden. It goes very well with some Pimms :-)
If you don't want to mix your own Pimms but go out and have a drink somewhere, we can warmly recommend the Tinner's Arms at Zennor, especially on a Thursday folk music night! Many thanks, Corinna and family.

We had a lovely stay, weather was great. Would come back again. Many thanks. Sorcha, Gary and James (Belfast).

Hello again. It's our third stay in Sorgente. As always we've had a lovely holiday - fab weather too! We love this cottage - very clean, light and peaceful. Comfy beds and a lovely atmosphere. Thank you once again. Sara, Dan, Ellis and Louie (Manchester)

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, well equipped cottage. Have enjoyed exploring the surrounding area, with many places to visit, there are some lovely National Trust gardens, pretty harbours and lovely beaches to visit. Thank you very much. Sue and Chris, Jean and Steve.

Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage. We have had a wonderful time. Everything is very well thought out and the cottage really is a comfortable place to stay. Recommend: the beaches at Polperro, Perranporth and St.Agnes. Fantastic food at the Pandora Inn - well worth a visit. Very sorry to be leaving! Amy and Craig (Manchester).

Beautifully maintained house and was so cosy to return to after a day out. Can imagine the garden would be a sun trap but weather was pretty cold when we visited. Spent our time mostly visiting friends but managed trips to Truro, Porthleven and will go to St.Ives which is always stunning! The Andersons.

A wonderful cottage, every bit as good as it looked on the website. Tasteful, cosy and very well equipped. We were visiting my son at University and even he was tempted by the rain shower and stay over with us. If we can book again we will certainly use it again as a home from home over the next three years. We will need to see if short term lets are available.
Would recommend the following: Day trip to St.Ives, fish and chips in Porthleven, the Lizard Penninsula (We walked from Lizard Point to Kynance Cove). Flushing to Mylor along the headland, Swanpool and Gyllyngvase beaches. , coffee shop and health food shop in Penryn, both Church Coves on the Lizard and of course Falmouth and Penryn high streets.
The garden terrace is a lovely touch even in February, managed to sit out a coupe of times. The welcome pack was lovely but we are now hooked on Cornish Cream Tea. Hope to return soon. Mandy, Neil and Tobias.

It's been a real pleasure to stay in a lovely holiday cottage - so well furnished, decorated with interesting art work. Loved the wood burning fire giving warmth and interest on cold winter evenings.
Yes thank you for a lovely stay! It is obvious that a lot of thought has gone into this cosy, welcoming and beautifully designed home away from home - and garden. Easy to use, practical and above all warm at this time of year!! Thank you!!

Perfect place to visit Cornwall. We are French and visit for the first time to this part of England, wow!!
We had nice weather, the cottage is well finished and comfortable. Bravo!
I have to come back, especially during springtime in order to see all the flowers in Cornwall's gardens. Many thanks.
Jean-Michel et Pascal (Saint Germain)

A lovely base to visit places I knew as a child and to introduce my daughter to her roots! The cottage is well equiped and clean and well finished inside.

Lovely house in a lovely location just a stone's throw from lots of amazing scenery and history! Weather was wonderful and the local cuisine was delicious. Would definately stay here again. Thank you for making us feel welcome with tasty scones and wine :-) Best wishes, Marc and Vicky Johnston

We had a wonderful eight days in Cornwall and in your cottage! We had a great time and we hope to be back some day. Thanks for the wine and scones and flowers. Bouwe, Aukje, Jenne, Ina (Netherlands)

Fab! The Breen family (Manchester)

We have had a great time here in Cornwall, the weather has been very good only a couple of days with a few showers. We have found this a great place for touring around Cornwall in the car or using the train. The Pandora Inn is a great place to eat as is The Royal Oak at Perrenwell. The local Gardens Enys were lovely and the bluebells such a nice sight to see. All in all a really enjoyable holiday. Thanks, Craig and Nicola (Cumbria)

The weather has been iffy (nearly got blown over at the weekend) but that hasn't stopped us having a lovely break. Sorgente has proved to be a comfortable and well-located base from which to reach the majority of the county's many attractions. We have enjoyed visiting old favourites like glendurgan and Trellisk, but were blown away by Heligan and Trebah, both of which were new to us. The Pandora on Restronguet Creek can get very busy, but it's still a lovely spot to go on a summer's evening (particularly at high tide). If you tak ethe path to the left of the pub and follow for about 15 minutes, you get to Restronguet Weir, where the creek meets the Carrick Roads.
We hope to be back and will definitely recommend this cottage to Cornwall-loving friends! Wendy and James Daud

(see original French above) Bruno James

We had a lovely week in Penryn, the weather has been mostly sunny for walks on the beaches - there's a lovely coast path that starts behind 'Just Delights' and goes along to Flushing. We would definitely recommend the falafel van near Gyllyngvase Beach in Falmouth and The Wharf tapas bar behind Just Delights. Thank you for a brilliant week! The Jackson-Hirsts :-)

had a lovely time here! Cosy, warm and very boutique-y. Lovely bedroom furniture. Chic and modern bathroom. SO CLEAN - thank you Andrena.
I highly recommend the Marine Bar in Ponsharden - excellent food and wine. If you are so inclined, a visit to St.Gluvias Church is a must. A lovely Anglo- Catholic service with a nice welcome to all. There is also a very old graveyard along the path beside the church car park - 10 minutes walk or so. We have relatives buried there from the 1950's.
I would recommend Sorgente to all for a cosy relaxing time. Hope to see you soon. The Millington Family.

Thank you, I have been down to visit family and your cottage was perfect - small, comfortable and well situated for getting to town with a pushchair and visiting grandson! Loved the rain shower. Nan Fellows.

Thank you for a lovely holiday - little Seb's first. The cottage is comfy and spacious, lovely and quiet. So much to see and do, we will definitely be coming back to Cornwall. Falmouth is great for food but the cottage is also easy to work in with everything to hand.
Fabulous bath too :-)

Four fantastic days are coming to an end...
It was easy to feel comfortable here in the wonderful cottage! We really enjoyed staying in Penryn but also enjoyed the nice surroundings: coastal walk around Lizard (great views!), Maritime Museum in Falmouth and the beaches (best beach at Blue Bay Bar - good jumps from the dunes).
Thank you for having us - we will reccommend this nice place.

A very charming cottage, very groomed and well equipped!
We had two wonderful and relaxing two weeks around Penryn and Falmouth.

A wonderful cottage, beuatifully furnished. Good location for getting in and out of Falmouth.

Thank you very much for the week we have spent at Sorgente while attending 'Giving Voice' at the Penryn campus. The cottage is conveniently close to the campus, and well appointed. We would like to thank the neighbours for helping us contact someone with the code to the cottage when we arrived from Cambridge. And thanks to Andrena for everything. There is an Italian atmosphere here which makes me feel at home!
Glendurgan garden is magical.
Miranda, Ashlyn, Spike and Jenny

Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Aulikki and Timo (Finland)

Our first holiday as a group of friends. This is such a lovely cottage to stay at, we are considering coming again and will be recommending to others. It's so near everything that we wanted to do more! A week is definitely not enough!! Neighbours are polite, garden beautiful, atmosphere is lovely. Weather was OK throughout stay so we had plenty to do. This is a beautiful family cottage. Especially love the bathroom!! Was lovely and warm in the whole house when we arrived, we are all very pleased.
Courtney, Cat, Lewis and Kaleb (Bristol)

What a lovely place! Sadly, I was working while I was here, rather than on holiday. So, it was great to come back to such a modern, clean and well decorated place. I particularly like your choice of artwork! I hope to be back very soon.

What a great place to spend New Year!
Lovely cottage, and very cosy for this time of year even though the weather was mild. Great walks along the cliff tops, by the river and on the beach.
Perfect location and great for golf courses!
Would definitely come back!
Best wishes Mo and Jak

We had a great time at Sorgente cottage

The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does on the pictures. The neighbourhood is very conveniently located and although it’s a lively neighborhood the apartment is very quiet! Would absolutely recommend to stay there!

Fantastic little place

felt like a home from home. Everything thought of.

Thank you Alex for your quick responses, we had a great family holiday.

Very clean and well equipped cottage.

Tastefully done out with fantastic bathroom and shower. Really felt welcome and enjoyed our stay. Loved the Muddy Beach cafe just down the road.

We had a lovely stay at Sorgente

When we first arrived we noticed how well the cottage had been refurbished and also loved the welcome pack including wine, scones and fresh flowers. Our favourite part of the cottage had to be the bathroom with its waterfall shower and relaxing decor. Although we had our own car, Alex is very helpful with car hire if you need any. Overall we had a fabulous stay at Sorgente and have already discussed returning again in the future. Would highly recommend.
June 2017

A lovely house close to Falmouth and Flushing

The house is beautifully decorated with a cute courtyard. There's a lovely near on the Marina a short walk away. Alexs communication was great I'd highly recommend this house.
May 2017

We had a great stay at the cottage!

As most people likely arrive in car, we were able to get parking right outside every night, which was very convenient. Great location for exploring Cornwall.
April 2017

Lovely property, clean, quiet and well located

Good location, a clean, tranquil cottage. Well equipped and very accurate, understandable instructions for usage of all the facilities. Would recommend and would stay there again.
March 2017

Sorgente is a lovely Cornish cottage with a mixture of period charm and contemporary facilities

The cottage is extremely clean and well equipped. A lot of thought has clearly gone in to making this a home away from home. The neighbourhood is quite, but also very handy for transport links, both by road and rail. The town of Penryn is only a few minutes walk away. We enjoyed a great holiday with Sorgente as our base. Most definitely highly recommended. Thank you.

Sorgente was a well located and clean house to stay for our holiday

It was comfortable for our family - (2 kids 8 & 12.) The bathroom is lovely and spacious and the kitchen was pretty well equipped for the size. Really pleased as it was allergy free which is not always that easy to come across.

Lovely cosy stay, spacious for a couple

Very well maintained, luxury bathroom. Made to feel very welcome, even had a high chair out for us on arrival. Quick walk into penryn local shops or supermarket 1 mile away. We will definitely be back, thank you Alex

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sorgente over the New Year!

The cottage is delightful in every way: comfortable and modern, functional and welcoming, clean and cosy. It was exactly what we wanted in a wonderful area of Cornwall that we were able to explore despite the weather. We would love to come back in the summer and experience the loooooong days instead of the long nights. I am sure Sorgente would be equally as excellent! Thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sorgente Cottage over the christmas period

The cottage is exactly as described and we wouldn't hesitate the stay again in the future. Alex ensured that we had all the information we needed and even arranged for a Xmas tree for our stay...thank you Alex! The cottage is close to the local shops and park and in a quiet area. Thank you for our lovely holiday. Alex & Kelly

What a lovely place to stay

Quiet and homely and very well equipped (the bathroom was my favourite!) .. Definitely felt like a home away from home. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling to Cornwall. Thank you!

Sorgente is a very nice appartment which is well-fitted and clean!

All rooms are comfortably furnished with modern amenities! Pennryn is a nice village with everything needed nearby and in the heart of Cornwall. Our tipp: Have a relaxed day at the St. Ives Bay beach near Hayle (search for Blue Bay Cafe)! Matthias and family.

Sorgente is a great place to stay: very clean, modern, warm and comfortable

It's well located in Penryn and dealing with Alex was great. I was working while in town, so it was great to come back to such a lovely place each evening. I particularly liked the choice of artwork!

"Good location"

The location of the cottage is good, Falmouth is a short drive away as are several lovely beaches and gardens. The cottage is well equipped with essentials and was clean.

"A wonderful and relaxing place to stay"
November 2016
We stayed 1 week at the beginning of November at the Sorgente Cottage. We enjoyed every single minute of our stay. Everything in the house is arranged to make the guests` stay as comfortable as possible. The cottage is very clean and when we arrived, fresh flowers, scones and clotted cream were waiting for us. A large folder with all the instructions explains how everything works. The location is close to Falmouth and close to a range of supermarkets (by car). We had a very enjoyable time at this wonderful place. All communication with the owners was excellent.

"Joli cottage à Penryn"
August 2015

"Perfect retreat"
June 2015
The cottage was beautifully furnished and finished to a high standard. It was in easy reach of Falmouth and there is a good bus service. Lots of various activities in the local area. Perfect place for a llovely week of peace and relaxation. Highly recommended.

"Fabulous place, very clean!"
February 2015
It was our first holiday together as friends and we absolutely loved it so much that we are all saving up ready to book again for next year! The house is beautiful and that bathroom is to die for! All very clean and labels everywhere to help with all the appliances. It is situated on a hill so parking was tricky but nothing extreme. Lots of beautiful beaches; very close as well! And a Londis right at the bottom of the street in case of any emergency things we needed. The only "negative" thing I can say is that the stairs in the holiday home were very difficult and somewhat dangerous to go down on but other than that it is near perfect. I was also under the impression that the house keeper was going to meet us before we arrived but none the less I'm sure that if we did have any problems she would be there for us. Very much enjoyed out stay, wanted to stay longer! We would all like to say a big thank you and we will most definitely be coming again.

UPDATE: the stairs were reversed in 2016. They are no longer steep.

"Brilliant accommodation. A real cosy retreat"
October 2014
Like many little places in Cornwall, you just never know what lies beyond the front door. Had a wonderful stay at this cottage. It's so convenient for getting around. Very warm and cosy. Loads of nice towels. Comfortable beds. Beautiful bathroom. VERY clean. Logs were supplied, on request for the great little woodburner. The bottle of wine was a nice extra! I would highly recommend this accommodation to fellow travellers. Many thanks.
