The living room shares an open-plan design encompassing the kitchen and dining area. Featuring a wood burning stove for those cozy evenings any time of the year, although not essential for heating especially in the summer months. During winter months this provides enough heat for the house even without the gas central heating.
Kiln-dried seasoned logs are provided for your arrival, charged for only if you use them. A list of local suppliers is also provided. Solid fuels such as coal, briquettes, Coalite and the compressed wood chip logs etc., cannot be used.
We provid ‘house shoes’ (slippers) for your comfort to further enjoy this spacious living room with natural wooden flooring, Two twin sofas provide comfortable seating whether watching a Blu-ray/DVD film, reading or merely relaxing.
If you are staying for the Christmas/New Year weeks then we can also provide a Christmas tree with lights to give the living room a seasonal atmosphere.
Original artworks by local artists are displayed throughout the cottage, non more so than in the living room.
