The Living room includes a wood burning stove for those cozy evenings any time of the year, although not essential for heating especially in the summer months. During winter months this provides enough heat for the house even without the gas central heating. Kiln-dried seasoned logs are provided for your arrival, charged for only if you use them. We also provide a list of places where these can be bought locally. Other solid fuels such as coal, briquettes, Coalite and the compressed wood chip-type logs etc., cannot be used.
To further enjoy this spacious living room area with a natural wooden floor, we have provided ‘house shoes’ (slippers) for your comfort. Two twin sofas provide comfortable seating whether watching a Blu-ray/DVD film, reading or merely relaxing.
If you are staying for the Christmas/New Year weeks then we can also provide a Christmas tree with lights to give the living room a seasonal atmosphere.
