A cottage wouldn’t be complete without a garden and ours can be a real sun trap. Overlooked by the double bedroom, the cottage garden is easily accessible from the kitchen using the large sliding patio door.
It was remodelled and rebuilt using traditional Cornish hedges as boundary walls. These are similar to dry stone walls because they use no mortar in their construction. But Cornish hedges make use of soil knitted together by the roots of wild plants and flowers. In the garden walls you will find many wild flowers and herbs, also useful in the kitchen.
