Boasting some of the finest sheltered waters in the UK, the Carrick Roads offers a great base for sailing. There are many yacht racing events, both local and national, that take place throughout the season in the area.

Carrick Roads is protected as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, from the mouth which has Fraggle Rock and Pendennis Castle, to the tree lined creeks and rivers to all the way to Truro. Home to many wading birds, seals and otters, not to mention all the basking sharks and dolphins that come into the Roads to feed.

There are numerous tiny water ways and tributaries to explore and so many different ways to explore them-walking, cycling, sailing and kayaking!

Mylor Boat Hire have a range of small sailing and motor boats available for hire to explore the Carrick Roads in.
They also run the Mylor Shuttle that links Mylor with Falmouth. It runs 3 times a day during the summer.
