Porthleven is a historic and picturesque fishing harbour overlooking Mounts Bay, West Cornwall. Ideally located between Lands End and Lizard Point, a beautiful place to visit on your holiday in Cornwall.
Porthleven beach is unspoilt and uncommercialised, helping to make Porthleven ideal for a relaxing family holiday. The beach is separated from Porthleven harbour and all its facilities by a magnificent granite pier which was constructed two hundred years ago. The South West Coast Path runs through Porthleven.
Near Porthleven is the Penrose Estate owned by the National Trust. The natural grandure of the Loe Bar sandbank, which forms the large freshwater lake behind, is within walking distance. You can also walk along the coast path to the mines at Trewavas Head.
