A very relaxing New Year’s break for our 2 year old and ourselves. Visiting for a very special friend’s wedding but also managed to explore the delights of St Ives, Lands End, Sennen Cove, Port Isaac, and Falmouth itself. Gorgeous take-away fish from Rick Steins on Falmouth Harbour. A very well equipped cottage for a young family and the ‘welcome’ bottle of red wine and box of mince pies were a real treat. We really appreciated your flexibility on our stay dates too, thank you! Happy New Year! Nick, Rose and Emilia Riley (Derby).

Three night break 26th to 29th December 2011. Perfect cottage for our family of four! Nice and warm, good facilities and the best shower I’ve ever had! Good location and would definitely consider returning! Many thanks Tom and family.

A beautiful cottage and an excellent base for exploring. We had never been to this part of Cornwall before and it was a revelation. The boys loved the Seal Sanctuary and the wild seals at Godrevy. We had a great meal at The Cove and an even better one at the Royal Standard in Flushing – great gastropub about 10 minutes away. Sad to leave.

A beautiful, warm, and welcoming cottage with a continental feel. We had a lovely stay here and it is the perfect base from which to explore West Cornwall. Would really recommend Trebah Gardens as they are breathtaking! We will definitely recommend this cottage to others. Kate and Soph Kirk.

We had a lovely relaxing week here at Sorgente thanks chiefly to the lovely home and welcome. The scones were such a favorite my husband stockpiled from Rowe’s bakery in Penryn, we will be eating them when we get back to London. The cottage is charming and does feel like home away from home. Everything we needed was here and our son who isn’t walking yet, enjoyed crawling everywhere, under the table being a favourite hiding place. Cornwall was lovely, the weather picked up the last few days. St Mawes was a favourite destination for us all and Trevarno Estate gardens. Favourite place to eat turned out to be the Mariners chippie, they knew our orders by the end of the week. We did have problems with the taps, they seemed to have a mind of their own, eventually we worked it out. Thanks for a lovely stay, Linda Ellia and Daniel Mensah.

Thank you for a lovely stay! We found the cottage very tasteful and well equipped and in a good location. The welcome tray was a lovely thought. We thoroughly enjoyed the cream tea. Recommendations: Kynance Cove, Pendennis Castle, St.Ives and huge beach to the east, St Agnes – very pretty with small cove and Porthleven. Favourite place to eat was Miss Pedpods in Penryn – great breakfasts and a happy hour hour on Fridays (6-7pm). Mariners (Penryn) and Harbour Lights for fish & chips. had a great stay! The Jennings Family.

We have had a super week’s holiday – but a holiday is not only visiting, walking, discovering it’s also having a lovely, comfortable and well equipped place to come back to at the end of each day and where we have felt totally relaxed. Many thanks. Petra and Pascal Narcy and Mark Thornhill. P.S. Many thanks also for the welcoming touches – we really appreciated it.

We had a lovely time here at Sorgente. The house was great for the four of us and was a brilliant base for exploring Cornwall. Couldn’t fit it all into one week though! Our recommendations for a day out at St.Michael’s Mount, Trelissick Gardens (National Trust or historic Scotland memberships came in handy!), the beaches at Gyllyngvase and St.Mawes. Our girls (aged 6 and 3) also enjoyed the train to St.Ives and the Park and Float into Falmouth. Thanks! Jennifer, Ross, Amy and Heather. We had a great holiday, thank you! Amy (6) and Heather (3).

This is our second time staying in this beautiful cottage. It was just as perfect as last year. We have had a fantastic holiday, the weather has been kind to us. Thank you for the cream tea and wine – yum! We will be sad to leave this peaceful sanctuary – we feel so relaxed now – not sure how long that will last when we reach the mayhem of Manchester! Thanks once again for allowing us to stay here. Sara, Dan, Ellis and Louie – Manchester. P.s. for the little ones (or big ones) that love trains – good places to visit: Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway and model railway train museum, Mevagissey.
18/05/2011Such a nice house made our holiday even more special! It has everything you might need. Cornwall is beautiful and Fowey is a must! Thanks!

We have really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage is very well equipped, we wanted for nothing. Also thanks for the welcome cream tea and wine! The cornish coast is beautiful with many wild flowers everywhere – we were walking from Porthleven to Porthluney Bay so this made a good base for us. The weather was perfect – like summer. Thanks again. Cathy Pat, Joyce and Juliet. N.Yorkshire/Manchester/Weymouth.
