I really liked the rain shower! It was like standing in the rain. I normally hate the shower! By Libby Age 10. The cottage is lovely, and I would like to stay here again! I also liked the slippers!

A nostalgic trip down memory lane for my partner – who came regularly to Falmouth as a child. A first for myself and our daughter – and we would love to come again (I’m sure we will). St Mawes for cream tea; Pendennis Castle and Point – amazing views, a coastal walk along from Maenporth – beautiful. We managed to get a lot in from this excellent location. The cottage suited us down to the ground and we felt very at home here. The welcome tray was lovely to arrive to and our first cream tea of many during our stay. I will miss them greatly. Our little girl – Chloe – seems to have felt very happy here too – and loved the enormous bath. Many thanks and hope the next visitors have as good a time as we have. The Hairsines.

Our first visit to Cornwall for a long time and a great cottage for a fantastic part of Cornwall. Highly recommend Mylor Boat Hire and going to Pandora Inn by boat, and swimming in the creek around there, was a great day out. Highly recommend Swanpool beach over Gylly or Maenporth, lovely cafe, water sports, easy, cheap all day parking. Now we’ve been here, I just wish we booked for a fortnight! Many thanks, The Egans.

We had a very nice time here and we enjoyed staying at your nice little house. Everything was really clean and at it’s place! Thanks for the scones and the flowers! All the best from Walter, Lili and Andrea from Germany.

We had a lovely week even if it was raining nearly all the time! 🙂 We spontaneously decided about our daily plans according to the current weather conditions. We managed to visit Glendurgan and Trebah gardens (can recommend it) and also Eden Project. Some nice little villages have been on our tours as well. Thanks and all the best, Britta and Claudia (Germany).

A great little cottage with everything you could need and nicely decorated. We are grateful for recommendations left by the others. Places we recommend are Ferryboat Inn (Helford Passage), Towan beach near St Mawes, St Ives for beaches, shops and the Tate. Also for a local trip Mylor harbour and the Pandora Inn at Mylor Bridge are worth visiting. We also took a day trip to beautiful Scilly Isles but beware it is a 6 hour round trip by boat from Penzance so may be worth taking helicopter if the budget will stretch to it. Miss Peapods is as good as everyone says – a real find. Thanks Jon and Laura (Bristol) P.s. Thanks for cream tea and wine.

We’ve had a very special last-minute holiday at Sorgente, and struck lucky with this lovely cottage, and a week of great weather. Very thoughtfully equipped with generous touches – thanks for the cream tea on arrival, fresh flowers and wine. It was also a great cottage for our 17 month old with stair gates and highchair coming in very handy. The cottage inspired her to start walking properly for the first time, and she hasn’t stopped since! Particularly enjoyed: Helford Passage – lovely little quiet cove and beach, watched the ferry coming to and fro, had brilliant lunch at the Ferryboat Inn, delicious sea-food. We walked down to Helford from Glendurgan Gardens, which were beautiful, huge steep valleys of tropical plants, excellent maze, a lovely pace to explore. Also our trip over to Roseland Penninsula via the King Harry ferry – beautiful drive to St Mawes harbour, visited the castle there and enjoyed fabulous view, great walk along cliff top to coved beaches from St Anthony Head, lighthouse over at Place. Eden Project we visited 7 years ago, just as great this time and our toddler loved it too. Another wonderful day in ST Ives, visiting the Tate, Barbara Hepworth Garden, amazing golden beach with turquoise water. This area is so beautiful and has lots to offer, but also very well placed for these trips further afield – about 45 minutes to St Ives and Eden. Thanks again, Helen, Colin and Lucy Welch (Shoreham, Sussex). P.s. Also lovely meal at Miss Peapods Cafe overlooking estuary 5 minutes down the road.

This is our second visit to the cottage and it was as we remembered it – a place to relax and unwind. We have really enjoyed our week here and managed to dodge the showers. Thank you very much for the use of your cottage. Diana and Tony.

We’ve had a lovely stay at Sorgente. The wine and scones were a lovely touch and went down a treat. The location is good for getting around and we visited many place during the week. I would recommend the Bissoe Cycle path to anyone, we had a great day out and it was suitable for the children for the children. Thank you Liz, Graham, Alex and Daniel Jones (Wirral). P.s. Pandora Inn in Mylor is a must, great food and great location.

Really enjoyed our stay at Sorgente. The cottage is beautifully finished – especially love the rain shower. It was very nice to be welcomed with scones, cream, jam and a very nice bottle of red! The week truly felt like we’d picked up our house and moved it to the coast – everything you needed was there including the washing machine and hair dryer! Wouldn’t think twice about coming back! Thank you so much. Richard, Lorraine, Thomas and William.

Another lovely stay at Sorgente (our third) it is a great base for us when visiting our daughter at Tremough Campus. Our routine includes cocktails at Number 20, dinner at Wheelhouse and breakfast at Miss Peapods. New for us this week was the Barbara Hepworth museum at St Ives – fantastic! Many thanks Matthew and Suzanne.

We have had a lovely time here. We’ve enjoyed: a circular walk around Mawnan Smith and the river, ending at Glendurgan Gardens – outside cafe a bit chilly despite blankets so we had lunch at Trebah instead. Woodland walk around Trelissick – although sadly, the ferry from Falmouth wasn’t operating in February. The seal sanctuary at Gweek – penguins too! Pendennis castle – short walk from Falmouth Docks station – then short walk to Gyllyngvase beach and cafe, train back from Falmouth town. Fantastic walk starting at Carwinian Gardens, out to Rosemullion Head, Tollpoint and back up the Carminian valley. Owner is happy for car to be parked at gardens if you’re visiting them after a walk. Several beaches for stone skimming towards end of walk! Raze the Roof followed by Maritime Museum! Seth, Michelle, Nathan and Millie – Bristol.
