Being March we did not come to Cornwall for sun and sea, so the cosiness of Sorgente has been very welcome. Beautifully decorated and well-equipped, it has been a pleasure to stay here.

Thank you for such a clean place to stay. We recommend to future guests – The Wharf in Penryn for great value tapas, big portions. The Muddy Beach is also lovely. We dodged every weather and had a great holiday.

Sorgente is a lovely little house and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We explored a lot of Cornwall from here and found it a great base. The Thirsty Scholar in Penryn main street, gave us a cosy place to eat and drink.
Thank you for the lovely Cream Tea greeting us and the red wine – both very welcome on our first day and evening!

Sorgente has provided us with the perfect base for exploring whilst holidaying here in Cornwall. Beautifully decorated with everything we have needed for a comfortable stay. Some of the places we have visited and would recommend are:
St.Michaels Mount – dinner at the Godolphin opposite offers great views of the mount.
Take the train from St.Erth to Carbis Bay – beautiful beach with beach club – lovely seafood pizza.
Lands End – great if you want a keepsake photo.
Maritime Museum Falmouth – brilliant for both our children at 2 and 12 yrs. Park and Float is novel too. Thank you.

A fantastic place to stay! We have had a wonderful holiday with some beautiful weather. Would definitely recommend visiting the castle at Pendennis. Falmouth beach is lovely and our toddler loved the seal sanctuary in Gweek. We would definitely stay again.

What a beautiful cottage to stay in. We have had a fantastic holiday. A must visit is Gylly Beach, Falmouth, Carbis Bay and Truro. Too many amazing places to visit all less than an hours drive away. We would definitely recommend and visit again. Thank you.

We stayed 1 wonderful week in your amazing cottage. Thank you for all your hard efforts to make this such a comfortable place. Whats more we were lucky with the weather and love Cornwall. Let’s hope we will be allowed to come back after the Brexit. Greetings and lots of love from

A wonderful and relaxing place to stay!
We stayed 1 week at the beginning of November at the Sorgente Cottage. We enjoyed every single minute of our stay. Everything in the house is arranged to make the guests` stay as comfortable as possible. The cottage is very clean and when we arrived, fresh flowers, scones and clotted cream were waiting for us. A large folder with all the instructions explains how everything works. The location is close to Falmouth and close to a range of supermarkets (by car). Most definitely highly recommended
Sorgente is a lovely Cornish cottage with a mixture of period charm and contemporary facilities. The cottage is extremely clean and well equipped. A lot of thought has clearly gone in to making this a home away from home. The neighbourhood is quite, but also very handy for transport links, both by road and rail. The town of Penryn is only a few minutes walk away. We enjoyed a great holiday with Sorgente as our base. Most definitely highly recommended. Thank you.

Sorgente – Very comfortable, clean, airy, attractive home
This is a very well cared for property; everything is in perfect condition – it’s like staying in a show home.
The waxy wooden floors feel wonderful beneath your feet, the rain shower is lovely and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the living room is warm and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay and felt at home.

Pleased it was allergy free
Sorgente was a well located and clean house to stay for our holiday. It was comfortable for our family – (2 kids 8 & 12.) The bathroom is lovely and spacious and the kitchen was pretty well equipped for the size. Really pleased as it was allergy free which is not always that easy to come across.

Sorgente – A source of delight
My sister and I needed somewhere in Penryn to stay for a week whilst sorting out family matters. So, we had not come for sea, sun and sand, but more looking for a comfortable refuge to retreat to at the end of the day. Sorgente couldn’t have been better at providing this; in spadefuls.
It is the most delightful and tastefully renovated cottage. It retains old world charm with modern day comforts.
The cottage was well equipped and everything, including all the linens and towels, were of a very high standard. Both bedrooms are spacious and we had plenty of room to hang clothes, with plenty of drawer spaces too.
It also has a superb bathroom with all modern/new fittings. The vast overhead shower was divine. Also all the little goodies which included soaps and bath gels.
Of an evening it was very cosy. We didn’t light the wood burner, but can imagine that would be great on a really dismal wet and windy day. We only used the CD player, but you could bring your iPod, DVDs as well and of course there is a TV. The free WiFi was a real bonus and made it very easy for us to carry out research and find local services.
The communications and ease of booking and all the information provided by the owner was also top notch. The online description of the cottage is perfectly correct and the photography is truly representative of the accommodation.
As we were not on a holiday we didn’t visit local attractions – but of course one absolute must, if you enjoy good food, is a visit to Ricky Stein’s restaurant and take away near the Maritime Museum in Falmouth. The most sumptious dinner was greatly enjoyed and appreciated.
We can highly recommend this cottage.

Sorgente – The perfect location for exploring!
My wife, baby and I found the property whilst looking for a family holiday in Cornwall to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
We were automatically drawn to it by the immaculate pictures and fantastic location! When we arrived we were not let down!
We had a long drive down through rain and wind (with a 17 month year old in tow it is not easy!) but as soon as we opened the door it felt like home.
Penryn is the perfect location for exploring the beautiful Cornish countryside. Everyday after breakfast we packed the car and headed out to explore! We were even lucky enough to have sunshine the whole week. We went from Falmouth to Penzance to St Ives and so much more! All these trips were a maximum 30-40mins drive away! Our favorite place to visit was the stunning Kynance Cove… a must visit if you can!
We only had to contact the housekeeper Andrena once and she answered the call quickly and fixed our problems straight away.
I could not recommend staying at Sorgente enough, not just for the quality of the house but also for the perfect location in Cornwall!
We will be returning very soon!
